This is Not My Last Song
It really isn't...

Hope the link worked this time...

Probably not what people want to hear right now. It is about mortality. I am a bit on the fence about the mix as this particular recording has more white noise than I would like on the guitar, but attempts to re-track on an improved interface failed because the performance lacked the emotion of the original. I might tinker with it some more in future, so it's a work in progress I guess. But I do like the song a lot and am eager to share it.

Thank you for sharing, Mike. I certainly hope this is not your last song because the world needs your kind of heart and creativity. The lyrics are fantastic and the vocals
support and illuminate the meaning of the lyrics with so much sincerity and emotional resonance. The guitar work is excellent as always and your voice is a truly authentic
folk, americana gift to all of us. Congrats on a great song!

Nice to hear great music from my neck of this Great Country. That illusive harmonica at the end is always a plus for me. It is such a wanting instrument that many artists would benefit using in their creations.

Thank you both! Your comments and reviews mean a lot. And thank you as always for the station adds Norm. Particularly delighted to see it included on Desperado Comments, a true honour.

The harmonica certainly is underused these days. I have only just picked it up for the sake of this song, but I plan to use it on more songs to come.

Mike's forlorn vocals stand out strong with a gentle guitar like a gentle breeze. Nice harmonies here too.

In a world that is lost at least were not alone Mike is here to keep us company by the campfire.

The harmonica at the end was great! Loved the vocals in the end as well.

And, it certainly should not be your last song. This is really cool! Very strong lyrics and musicianship. Keep Writing! Much Respect, Stoneman
