I would rather be poor and go on Living then be rich and dead.
I read of a study last week where they found Money does not equate to happiness...what does? Family, friends, a sense of purpose, and good health. Equating the sanctity of Life to the amount of wealth is sad... Life can never be overrated...Its the most precious thing in the universe!

to become a parent open one's eyes: I read an article about britpop band Oasis recently, and surprise, surprise: they talk about the balance this event brings in their life and how it leads to less selfishness. Certainly a plus-value 8-)

Uh... since this thread is about LIFE being over-rated...and Richard Scotti did ask about the name Conversation Suicide (a form of death) --- I'll just mention a couple of other meanings for the name:
What do you call a band that does pop/rock/alternative/Blues/Metal/punk/funk and hip-hop and also fuses 'em all as much as possible, with a revolving door of collective musicians and PHLEGM?
Another meaning: Sitting around smokin' a fattie, lost in conversation and then DUDE sez - "uh.... what were we talkin' about?" -- and other dude sez - " durrrrr... don't know!" -- THAT's CONVERSATION SUICIDE!
So many more meanings -- so little time!

not that I wanna step into a conflict I know diddle squiddle about,
but 2008 is a long time ago...
I had a life then.
Not like now.
I can hardly remember.
Memorabilia is our gift to ourselves in preparation for senility.
We'll all be old friends for life.
And then, we'll be new friends.

PS,
I am, as seen on TV,
a Poorionaire Philanthropist...
and, in fact,
I do aspire, to one day,
be a honking billionaire,
that said,
even then,
I'll go on working like a pig, as I do,
because, I kind of can't not.
Now all the more since I quit all forms of getting high.
But, let's say, hypothetically,
that I did make it to old age,
and was a billionaire,
and have a lovely ranch house in Colorado,
and again can smoke, oh, better pot than I ever had before in my life,
and I have conversations with the local cactuses,
or cacti, to use the correct plural term,
you know, I would still wander into the studio from time to time,
and make a record.
It's what I do.
Even when I'm dead,
I'll fashion together a studio,
might be better than what I got,
and what I got, is completely functional,
even if at least half the magic, is in me myself and I.
And John and George and Pete as well.
I've been dead too.
I don't advocate it,
but it sure reset my clock.
