Begging Please
A little change in style. I would be interested in your opinions.

Interesting use of vibrato on the vocals? It works with the guitar effect.

I did not think the drum sound had good quality. A beat generator such as ez-drummer could have created a better sounding drum track in my opinion.

This song and your performance of it shows how versatile you are. I really think you can sing anything in any style if given the opportunity. You're building up a good repertoire of songs and I think you should continue trying different things. You've got all the vocal skills to excel in any genre and you shouldn't hesitate to keep exploring and searching and going outside your comfort zone. Taking risks is the path to success (imo) That being said, Begging Please is really excellent and definitely a departure from your previous work in terms of style. Keep exploring new terrain. You're on the right road.

Emotive, and dramatic in places, and also restrained and subtle, this features your vocal intuitions and skills, a special gift I'd say, that draws the listener in. The vibrato in places works well, and the electronic backing provides a new production vibe, stellar, charming, explore a rich diversity of styles, have a feeling you'll find your way, a fun listen. Rock on, Francesca*****

Wow! Very Impressive!
A great recording and you sound great!

Your singing reminded me a little of Heart with the added nuances
of your original nuances of your voice! Perfect!

I asked you yesterday morning if there were other styles
you were willing and able to do?
Well, This just answered that question!!

Like the others before me mentioned above, all of which I totally agree with,
you're definitely on the right road to stardom especially when you can show your versatility in singing a variety of styles!! :-)

I am very much impressed by your creative vocalisms, intelligent lyrics, storytelling, and songcrafting. There is pretty much nothing left to be desired here. The song is short, but I think that was the right place to end it. So glad I listened!

Are you playing some of the instruments as well?

About This.

Wow you're damned good.

Pretty much makes me forget you
left our one collaboration half finished
(which didn't irk me too much really, I go on, I live some sort of life... )

(you know, the slow parts, the parts you were supposed to sing but didn't?
perhaps you should get me the wav file to the finished thing,
and I can either sing that slow stuff myself, OR, as an option,
I could play some lead guitar, and if I don't like what I come up with
I can have George do it, I'll probably have George do it,
or you could go back and finish it.... I know, what nerve I have,
it's almost like I think I'm the World's Greatest... where do I get that?)

(well I suppose that's what I was going for...
anyway, forget 'the unfinished concerto' and let's talk about this.

Holy Bananas.

Well you, are a force to be reckoned with, clearly.

And the music, that's all that Andrew guy?
Okay, someone made a point to mention the drums
not being adequate. I second that, this song deserves better.
Bass also, not even 'fair', moves in some places, sleeps in others...

the bass is what gives a song legs,

okay, if you want to send me the wav----

oh yes, I should finish that though,
'finish a sentence now and then, Einstein'

you may not, and it's fine if you don't, I have plenty of work to do as it is...

but, in the same spirit that the one and only Lesley Gore once took me
under her wing, I will, if you like, just for you Kid,

if you send me the wav of this,
ideally, with just the keyboard stuff and your singing...

but I'd say, also you should send me this thing here as it is,
because I'll wanna go by that just to confirm beat placement such as it is...

yeah, I'll play what I consider to be proper bass and drums for this.

You were, just scary good, you impossible brat, and I say that with love.

No, that's good. Well it's intended good anyway. God only knows,
I may sound like the most obnoxious person who ever lived.
I'm sure several in life's own history, have in fact been worse.

I can think of a few just in my own travels....

Jesus, you were really good on this,
actually best I've heard out of you yet, Fran.

And the guy's keyboards with the vibrato stuff,
oh that is WAY Cool and Definitely Working.

That reminds me, I think I have records to put out myself here,
let me go see what I have ready to go here....

Okay, so IF you want me to 'do this up' as it were,
you know the address, (you should still know it anyway...)

musicmanager2001@yahoo.com

This record of yours,

Begging Please....

is two shades shy of perfect.

One shade being bass, one being drums.

I can do that. If you want. You don't have to have me do that,
you can leave it as it is. I personally think, as I just said,
this song, deserves, nay commands, the proper backing,

Andrew what's his name, impressed me with his keyboard work,
withholding his pay will not be necessary, he even gets a cookie.
A nice big bakery cookie, he did a good job.
So did you, I'd bring a cake, but then I'd eat half of it
and you'd call me a pig, and I'd oink and run away, probably laughing...

Yeah, Fran. This is a TOTAL Hit.

Or, is two shades shy of it.

I'm just going to say this,
I know because of my level of ability,
this makes me, oh, I'll go with 'annoying'...

everyone seems to think so...

and yet, only I, can do what only I can do...
which accounts for a whole lot of stuff.

That said, I am making quite a point,

to say all this.
I had not intended to.

"Let's see what the kid has goin on here..."
was all I thought, swaggering into the joint here.

Then I listened,
and 'ohhh'.

No, this is scary good,
and it's scary good,

because you really do put yourself into what you do,

so you need music that does the same.

The guy, Andrew, did well with the keyboard.

I can in fact take this existing wav file,
if you get it to me,

and just play over it,

the bass is such a wee murmur
and the drums such an incidental
thumbtack on the wall,

that what I would add, would be way more prominent,

but yeah, ideally,
you are to send me both,

this, as is, and, if you can get it (and it may mean going to a studio
you have to pay for, and you may not be able to afford that,
so in that eventuality, send me the thing as it is, and we won't
worry about getting me a wav with the sleeping bass and thumbtack drums off)
the thing without the sleeping bass, and thumbtack drums removed)

okay, any questions, ask.
I cannot anticipate everything.

There is a movie,
with Shirley Maclaine,

"Madam Sousatzka" I believe is the name of it...
She is an excellent music teacher, but she's a hard assed beyotch.
Okay, basically, that's me, and that's as much apology as I generally
give, for being me, with all my annoying ways. I'm Madam Sousatzka.

Now, you don't need to be taught to literally breathe music.

You do in fact need bass and drums that are hittin' it. Point made,
hopefully well taken.

God Bless, Much Love, ~Lesley

it's short? How short? I listened to about thirty seconds,
felt as though I might faint you were so good, and I came back
to write all this yammer. Well we can make it longer if you want...
Or leave it as is...

I hope I've made myself understood, I'm only offering to help you
make this thing better... you yourself, were phenom, not to worry.

And that is not a word I use lightly, even if abbreviated.

I'm gonna tell you now, what Lesley Gore told me.

You've got what it takes, I can tell.
You're good, but you could be great, so be great.

I'm totally willing to throw bass and drums on this.
It's almost a crime not to. Is to me.

PS....

Obviously I thought enough of what you did here to make a big noise.
That said, feel free to tell me to go fly it out a window.

oh and,

don't be a lazy bones....

too many of these artists these days out here
are not putting their lyrics out there.
put your lyrics out there.

or don't, see if I care.

I'll just say it again, Francesca.

You're good.

That was a pretty neat underlying accompaniment by your collaborator, too. Jazzy, I like that.
