rough weather calls for a steady hand at the helm and from all I see, we're headed for smoother sailing....that pleases me; I like this place.

Sago Mine...you've reminded me just how easy my job really can be. You've got the ear, man. Nice work, Pine. The bass part = just what the song calls for (as with anything).

Thanks for your comment about "Banali" yes it's something very different! I enjoy playing flute when I get the chance but I have to travel to Gambia to get a chance so I can't do it very often! I love your ambient tracks here.

Just now streaming "Rivergods Radio" and I'm still diggin' "Three Ships" in a big way.
All my best to you and yours, my friend.

Hey Pine,
Thanks for popping in, man, and esp. for the kind words. I usually keep tabs on the MS and IAC pages (low profile on the boards).
I've been enjoying the results of your productive winter as you release. Nice work, my friend, sounds better every time too. If we ever get up and off our pumpkins, we'll have something new to show pretty soon. Basic tracks are done. Now it's dub, vox, comp, mix, remix, listen, listen, listen. Slow goin'.
Had no idea about the Folk Alley thing til your mention. I'll have to check it out, thanks.
Enjoy your summer. If it's half as productive as your winter, you are truly blessed.
Peace!

Howdy, Brother Pine,
Diggin' "No More Sno Mon" in a big way (and probably more so once the prevailing wind changes direction, lol).
Hope life is good for you, too.

You said such things about my instrumental Three o'Clock that I thought it was about time I stopped by and listened to some of your stuff.

Listened too White Buffalo, HayRide, Hippie and Three Ships, enjoyed Hayride the most, great natural bounce to it. Liked Three Ships too, good use of wave effects, and birds, behind the flute. Hey it's evolving as I type, banjos just come in, and the drums, nice track.

hi, good to see you...such a great eclectic assortment of music!

the Rivergods

2/2/2008 7:27:57 PM

Nice slideshow....everyone looks quite content up there at el Rancho Pinedog. Being added to the Last Wild Herd station reminded me of a couple moments in a memorable cross-country trip with my brother....getting caught up in a buffalo herd at Custer State Park and getting the stare-down by a bull with an eye as big as an eight-ball....watching a red-tail hawk hover nearly motionless for almost ten minutes not more than fifty feet away at Jackson Point Overlook. Can you hear the wind calling??

Village Jammers

1/11/2008 8:31:25 AM

Hey Pinedog,
Happy you stopped by...happier still that you enjoyed a listen. Thank you for the fine compliment. You're welcome to stop by anytime...we'll toss an extra log on the fire and pick a few.
Mike

the Rivergods

1/7/2008 9:37:42 PM

Pinedog...Three Ships is a beautiful piece, man! I listened to it a good dozen times in two sittings before I could put my impressions into words...it was tough getting past the pictures in my head. Hayride is a joy, too. Sounds like you had a ball putting that one together.

Glad you enjoy the Rivergods' music, and thanks for the compliment.
If you have the time, look into the Village Jammers (my other band). I have a feeling you'll enjoy it there, too.

(BTW, glad you're re-upping with IAC)

Hi Pine. Thanks for dropping by and having a listen. As far as the pics go, they were lost in a computer crash a while back. Most of us had to reload everything and I assumed some artists didn't bother. I've tried to upload pics that won't load and usually it tells you why. It will tell you what size or type jpg you need. I had to resize some of my stuff. I would email IACsupportHotline@gmail.com and they will help you to figure out the problem and sort it out. It can be frustrating when things don't work but I think IAC is still better than the other sites. There's real people here to hang out with. Hang in there Pine. Great to meet you. I'm glad you joined in on the pipeline. deb
