Wow.
Whatever was I thinking walking into this particular thread.
I'm not entirely sure what Jim meant with this one.
Was he saying,
'beware the sack you fondle, because you may become a scrotum face?'
or,
was he saying,
'recognizing the perspective of authority, gives you poise,
and hence you find your way to your own authority'...
?
or,
was he being Jim the poet,
where he'd say whacky shit and hope it made sense to himself later?
I prefer a feast of friends to the big family.
As though they are two different things.
Didn't think I'd call you on that one did you Jim.
He didn't die by his own hand,
it was the pills he took, the drink he drunk,
probably drowned in the tub too.
He wanted out, he wanted to go out
while he still had some kind of hit record,
and did not want to become The Spin Doctors
playing Little Miss Can't Be Wrong at a County Fair near you.
I can't blame him.

The problem with fighting authority for the mere sake of fighting authority,
is that it is just as pedantic as authority for authority's sake.
