blues rock tune with a horn section

all vocals and instruments by Glenn Lepine

Another song I wrote while living in the Bay Area of California. Life in cheap high rise apartment building on the bad side of town..walls so thin you can hear the guy next door scrathin his head
When I look out my window
it's such a scenic sight
there's a brick wall to the left
and a brick wall to the right
I'm stuck here livin
in this concrete cocoon
the neighbors blast their music
and I hate every tune

got the low rent high rise blues
low rent high rise blues

can't go outside
after the sun go down
cause the dealers and the muggers
they've taken over the town
there's an all night grocery
if you're feelin brave
but every bum in town is
down there beggin for spare change

got the low rent high rise blues
low rent high rise blues

There's someone in the dumpster
out behind my pace
he's diggin for food or cans
I can't tell which is the case
The sound of the gunshots
is ringing through the night
followed by the sirens
and the flashin red lights

got the low rent high rise blues
low rent high rise blues
