This piece for solo classical guitar is a musical tribute to Seringapatam, a town in the Mandya district of the Indian state of Karnataka and place of great religious, cultural and historic significance. Performed in this recording by the composer, Auckland classical guitarist Bruce Paine. The title Seringapatam was chosen for this piece of music because it happens to be the birth place of Allan Kerr Taylor who was founder of the Alberton house and farm.

Composition and recording by Bruce Paine.

Seringapatam was specially composed by Bruce Paine for his music DVD Alberton (BNP DVD 01) to mark the 150th anniversary of the iconic 1863 homestead Alberton in Auckland New Zealand. For the DVD a separate video was made featuring Alberton as the background setting.
