This is a song about small baby born in a small town in Israel.

This song was recorded at A Writer's Paradise in Nashville and sung by Mike Lusk.

This song story describes a tiny town in Judah where the King of Glory was to be born. King Herod didn't want that to happen, so he tried to trick the wise men who came in search of the Jewish King. By the way, what's the real meaning of Christmas?
The Babe of Bethlehem

Chorus:
Bethlehem—though the smallest of Judah,
Out of thee shall come the perfect Lamb. From of old, yes, from everlasting,
Came the King—the Babe of Bethlehem.

1. Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem—
When old Herod wore the ruler’s ring—
There came wise men from east of Jerusalem,
Asking, “Where is born the Jewish King?”
Wicked Herod, perplexed about these things,
Gathered the Law scribes around his throne.
He demanded from where the child would come.
They said, “The prophet Micah’s clearly shown.” In—
Chorus:
2. The old king tried to hide his evil scheme
By asking the wise men about the star.
He said, “Go on ahead to Bethlehem;
I’ll come to worship where you are.”
The bright star guided them to where Christ was.
When they found Him, they showed exceeding joy.
They saw Mary and then the Jesus child.
And they worshipped the King—a baby boy. In—
Chorus:
3. What does Christmas time mean to you and me?
Does it mean excitement, presents, and fun?
Does it mean depression, gloom, despair,
Or the quest for God’s eternal Son?
As you search for the Babe of Bethlehem,
Bring to Him your gifts, your worship, your praise.
As the wise men searched and found the King,
Just seek and serve Him all ‘your days. Oh—

Chorus:
