The Maybes

A song about the storm on Skye which uncovered the dinosaur footprints.
Pale Sun

Pale sun sinks beneath the bay
In surf and seaweed otter’s play
Rains they lash upon your beach
Golden Cliffs, rise out of reach.

Ooh where the raptors fly
OOo another time and sky.

Under dark and stricken sky
Violent waves, they tower high
Winds that fall on granite stacks
Sea and Storm unveil your tracks.

Ooh where the raptors fly
OOo another time and sky.

Oceans sweeping past your cove
Shifting sands reveal your trove
From the forest darkness roars
Footprints from the ancient shores.

Ooh where the raptors fly
OOo another time and sky.
Ooh where the raptors fly
OOo another time and sky.

All Together Now
A confidently professional sounding song that retains a little of that recognizable indie music glow. You'll find a range of superb elements in Pale Sun - You have the sound of a Soft Rock band but with the addition of orchestral synths it quickly grows into something more special. The lyrics are noteworthy and you feel that you're listening to an intelligent and talented partnership. It's kind of hard to pigeonhole or pin it down genre-wise but I will suggest that if you liked the band Blondie from way back you will love The Maybes. - Adeline Moore (TBH)
