I wrote this song about anxiety but its backdrop is set on a smoky summer with feelings of suffocation
i feel like i’ve lived so many lives
like i’m running out time
we all just wanna do it right

so where is the next one
i’m onto the next one

terrified of going nowhere
i see your shadow on the wall
even after every fall
i remember every thing
a city of rust

i can’t see through this smoke screen
it’s burning
i can’t breathe i can’t see
can’t see through this smoke screen

every corner i turn it’s like i see you on each screen
it doesn’t even matter but i can’t even think
how do i explain how i feel about every little thing
obsessive possessive
scrub away till i’m clean

all the summers blur together
we left the city in hopes of something better
sometimes i feel like we’re chasing bad weather x
