Rhetorical questions after the break up.
Why do people lie?
Until they just believe it’s true
Never mind. I think I know
So why can’t I just let it go
Cause I should understand by now
What we build in time can tumble down somehow
Why do lovers fight?
Seems like such a waste of time
You take a stand. You speak your peace
You think you win, and end up beggin on your knees
No it’s not to win or lose
It’s how you play the game and all the rules you choose
No don’t you dare talk to me
‘bout logic, life and destiny
The heart can always tell when it’s too soon
It’s not as though someone like me
Could benefit from prophecy
It’s not like we were asking for the moon
Why do couples fade?
Til finally they disappear.
Begin so strong. You change in time.
It’s never fair
It’s never like the sentence fits the crime
And now you’re all alone
Reinvent your life and face the great unknown
