Random thoughts
Wrapped up in the night
And I try as I will
My mind can’t turn off the light
So I stare and wait
I keep waiting
Keep waiting for dawn
But the night goes on
Remembered that girl
Made a fool out of me
How she crept into my thoughts in the night
I just can’t see
Folks long gone
Voices won’t bring sleep
Some kind of con
Into my thoughts they creep
So I stare and wait
I keep waiting
Keep waiting for
But dawn won’t come
Don’t know where all this noise is from
Clanging round my mind
Wish it would leave me behind
Need to fall off
Need some peace
But these things in my head
Just won’t cease
