Fast moving novelty song

So many scams and con artists around these days
|
He rang my bell I said "Who the Hell can that be at this time of night"
I said "What do you want, we don't buy at the door" but I still put on the porch light
He said "I need to come in so you can sign this neighborhood petition"
But I'd never seen the guy before and he aroused my suspicion
There was something about him, the way that he spoke, I thought to myself "What a dodgy bloke"
I said "I'd rather not if you don't mind" I'm really not a trusting kind
He was a dodgy geezer with shifty eyes
A dodgy geezer who was telling lies
I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him, a dodgy geezer and I didn't know him.
I got emails from someone in Africa, claimed to be my long lost friend
Could I forward a cheque, I thought "What the heck, will this ever end"
Said they were stranded far away from home, no passport and no money
What a dodgy scam that was and I really don't think that's funny.
Dodgy guy, dodgy guy, will you go away
Dodgy guy, dodgy guy, I don't want you today
Dodgy mail, dodgy mail, a con a scam, a bribe
Dodgy mail, dodgy mail, I want you unsubscribed
I was asked to take part in this charity run (I'm not too fit, didn't sound like fun)
I said "Oh sorry, that's not for me you see, I've got this dodgy knee"
But then I felt guilty for what I'd said so I gave them a couple of quid instead.
But that night I tripped and fell on the stair, I was wearing some dodgy footwear.
