I started this song in 2005 writing it on the piano. Whilst I’ve had covid this last couple of weeks I’ve re-written it on picked guitar and added a new verse and arrangement and took advantage of the Rhodes piano in the studio.

Summer warmth suspended
Winter days impending

Willow leaves are weeping
Trees on high are sleeping
River water’s rising
Light sinks on the horizon

Branches bare, no flowers
The freezing air is clearer and
