Observation Station
This was a popular track but I wonder if it was really understood previously. Some might think it doesn't make a good song when a guy sings about his dead girlfriend, especially when the narrative is sung to a happily strummed backing. I'm fascinated by the lighthearted way this subject has been handled but maybe that's how it should be - I'm kind of smiling and crying at the same time - the ending is impressive and joyous until that last 'flat line' note.
