Believe it or not, there are counties in Texas where they don't sell beer. This usually leads to a Friday night ritual of making the trip across the river to the county line liquor store. It's strange that just across the county line, nobody seems to recognize their neighbor.

Some years ago, we had a holiday in a lovely rural place in Arkansas, a few miles from Hot Springs. In a dry county... So that evening, we headed for the next county - but in the wrong direction, as I found trying to order a beer in the restaurant. Next day, we went the other way: 'BEER! LIQUOR! ONE MILE!'signs, leading us to a shack about four inches over the county line. Apart from being a really good song, this just took me back to that time, thanks muchly. And thank you, Folk Acoustic Americana station, for leading me to this
