As the title and production suggests, this composition is an aural gift of nostalgia, and reminiscent of what a child would find entertaining. Orchestrally exciting with tympani and triangle, the puppets almost walk off on their own...

Upon the climactic conclusion of Ravel's Bolero one August afternoon, my daughter immediately began to hum this melody. Ironically, I had always considered it to be unconsciously influenced by the great twentieth century composer, whose work I admire greatly. Originally found in 'Minuet in D,' the engaging descending and ascending motif I found so attractive that I considered using a derivation of it as part of a different composition. Beginning with the temple block, the track takes on an orchestral feel as tympani, vibraslap, triangle and snare texture the production. I had great fun in its production, and it will remain among my favorite works...
