Take a mellow eerie sound and then add a funky bass and happy hardcore-esque percussion and you will get close to describing this unique and well constructed track.

I normally start all of my work by just tinkering around on the piano. Once I play something I like, I lay it down. I then listen to what I have put down, over and over again. I then find myself humming or whistling another melody or tapping a drum beat over the top of it. If I find myself doing that, I know that it is missing. I then add what I was doing. I then experiment with voices and start changing instruments until I can create a voice I like. Once there, I then get down every possible segment/layer I can think of. Once they are down, I then reorganise them and get the track done. I then listen to the "completed" track over and over and over again, and if I spot the tiniest thing wrong with it, whether its a note thats out, or the sustain or attack is incorrect, I then go back and modify it. and then I repeat my listening process all over again until I cant spot anything else.
I do the same process with EVERY song so I can spend anywhere from 5-30 hours on one track. Excluding listening time.
