This is a song about manifesting, coming out of your shell, facing your demons, and rising above.

Written and performed by Kursten Bouton - guitar/vocals
Cello - Michael Ronstadt
Mixed and Mastered by James Stapleford at Chaplins, The Music Cafe

I originally wrote this song at a time in my life when I felt very weighed down but was beginning to really see that a brighter future was within reach. I finished it at a time when some of my dreams had been realized. It still holds true and I hope it always will. The desire to continue to learn and grow is one that should never die.
You fixate on all my troubles so my gaze falls from your faults. Are you so afraid of shadow that you lock yourself in a vault?
My love for you is fleeting, if you're interested act now, for if you wait for tomorrow you will never know how good it could have been. If I could I would trade in my fears for butterflies and here I stand before your eyes and you stay hidden.

So go ahead and magnify me; Amplify all my ways. Let the sun beat through and blind me until I incinerate.

I will rise up like the Phoenix and fly beyond your reach. You can watch me as I soar and swoop to graze your cheeks.

I will be obvious. My dreams are my atlas.
I'll take wing with no regrets because I've learned to shake off your vignette and now I see truth. Now I see light. Now I see that I'll be alright.

Freedom release me, help me see all this I hold inside. All that I try to hide.

Release me. Set this free. x
