Definitely one of the saddest songs I've ever written. I wrote this in my brother in law's basement during the middle of winter in Madison, Wisconsin. I was sad and depressed. My brother and his girlfriend were visiting and I "watched him walk up the stairs" which is a lyric in the song.

Written by Justin Jahnke, arranged by Flame Shark, produced by Flame Shark. Pedal steel guitar by Jory "Catfish" Simmons, recorded at Transit Recording in Milwaukee, WI. All other tracks were recorded live at Piety Street Recording in New Orleans, LA. Justin Jahnke played the 12-string guitar. Mike "Goldenwings" Meske played bass and sang back-up and Rusty "LaRue" Lee played the keys.

Cathedral Walls are the obstacles to happiness; there's a religious/spiritual connection in there somewhere, but I haven't sorted that one out for myself yet.
