This is a new tune I just wrote recently. My uncle used to always say he was "tickled pink" about something. I've been threatening (to myself) to use it in a song for many years now. So here it is!

Lyrics and Music by J. Patrick Sharpe

Can you believe how many years we've been together?
I've been looking for a way to tell you nearly every day
I think it's fairly clear that it's forever
And now I finally have the words I want to say

(Ch) I'm tickled pink
Over you
It's an expression of my love that is overdue
When it comes to lovin' you girl
There's only one thing I can think
Good God up above I'm tickled pink

Through all the cats and the dogs and the kids we've stuck together
And the neighbors who never seem to leave us alone
And with the way I cook and this cold Missouri weather
God knows that I can't make it on my own (Ch)

(Br) Well I know that you think that I drink too much
And I know that you've noticed that I gained a little weight
But who in the world are we kidding darlin'
'Cause it's too late for us to find somebody new, new, new...

Oh yes it's true that I love you more than cream and sugar
Yeah, the real stuff not the artificial kind
So I'm taking a page from the Book of Willie Nelson
'Cause you're crazy but you're always on my mind (Ch) x
