I'm livin' on a treadmill
The faster I'm goin' the more I stand still
I have to get off it - I'm not so sure that I will
It's been so long now, I don't remember

I'm livin' like a slave
Tryin' to save what I already gave
Help me to find some way out of this cave
I just can't see the light
Where is the light ?

This long frustration's just another way of life
and if I start to get my fool life together
the truth will cut like a knife

Oh, the changin' of seasons, well, it ain't gonna come around here
My soul's in the way of facin' the truth in this atmosphere

Hangin' like a trophy head
My eyes wide open but I've long been dead
Go out in the woods and see the trail I've bled
but you wouldn't want to live the life I've led
All the time I've spent
All the words I've meant
didn't make one dent

I'm livin' on a treadmill
The faster I'm goin' the more I stand still
I have to get off it - I don't know if I will
It's been so long now, I don't remember

I don't wanna remember

The Bitter Guy's Station
What? Not added to ANY Stations? This angsty thang which is one nonstop great solo? No takers?? Disgraceful!!

Great solos
FT's best guitar work, a song that has electric blues coming out of its pores.

The Best of Time's
FT's best guitar playing, soulful to the nth.

Mystery Radio
FT lays down some great vocals on Living on a Treadmill, more at a cool retro vibe with 70s influences has a haunting quality and a guitar solo here and there that adds a reflection and taste of what it is like going day to day with struggles and challenges one can get caught up i, one of his best ever vocals, and real fine production. I have to say his ability to capture your mind with his feelings intimated through the lyrics is compelling. Great storytelling as FT weaves his thoughts in this EPIC ballad with tasty touches of instrumentation and interpretation....very much enjoyed.

LEGENDARY MUSIC II
I finally made my way around - much too long overdue in happening I might add with a certain sense of guilt - to adding a song by one of the most dedicated musicians and souls - among other roles that he fills, living here at IMP (formerly IAC) to one of my stations. Father Time's "(Living on a) Treadmill – Father Time's Blues" was my choice hands down for this first time (no pun intended) recognition of Scott's diverse musical talent and spectrum. I simply LOVED the great intro! Threaded and woven into the song were a confluence of music influences that would have easily suited themes for films like "Heaven's Prisoners" (featuring music composed by George Fenton), David Lynch's "Blue Velvet" and "Twin Peaks" and Quentin Tarantino's "Pulp Fiction" making Scott a genius to my ears. It doesn't stop there. Scott's lyrics, imagery and soulful vocals work perfectly into this mix setting the stage for what maybe he has in mind – a video perhaps or even a feature film in the vein of the aforementioned thrillers. Groove on Father Time – the future awaits you. Hell man, maybe it’s even right here, right now! Well done, Scott. I thoroughly enjoyed this song. Take a bow here at Legendary Music II.

The Extra Mile
Was there ever such a beautifully haunting song, I've always loved it. You can hear the angst in the questioning vocal and the guitar is like his music partner, it has the same lingering, painfulness. The rhythm is steady like a treadmill that is on automatically set on walk pace. Then you have that endless, breathy note expelling the inner torment. someone should cover this great song :) ;)
