An INXS inspired rocker featuring the multi-talented Lesley Jane creating magic!
Although I wrote and arranged this song, it is actually Lesley playing the instruments and singing background vocals while I sing probably the best vocals I've ever done in a song.
Overall, this song was created with magic and perfection! Thanks Lesley!
This is probably one of the best songs here at IMP if I do say so myself! :-)
This song was initially a demo I wanted to present to INXS themselves, since I did write it to have their specific "sound", but after the recording, the mixing and the over a year time period it took for me to finally get hold of direct contact info for INXS producer Chris Thomas to send copy to, singer Michael Hutchence was found dead of an apparent (and in my opinion) accidental suicide.
Thus this song remained on the shelf for about 10 years until Lesley himself told me about MP3.com
and other music websites. So it took on new life on the internet and became one of my first #1s on Soundclick.com on three occasions and again at Reverbnation a few years later. It still sounds fresh and new (and surprisingly current) as it did when we recorded this song over 20 years ago!
