Some may say it's a Christian Song, some may say it's a cry for help to a close friend. It all depends on how the individual listener interprets it.

Guide Me
words and music by Jayson Dyall c.2019

I need you here beside me
To clear the path to find me
I need your help to guide me
Back to where I belong

Fooled by the temptations
That tried to lead to damnation
I'm in need of your salvation
I'm so lost on my own

I was blinded, tempted by another
Led me to a dark and bitter place
Now all I feel is my life falling apart
My resentments, and my regrets
Made me stray and fall from your grace
Come and save me and this empty broken heart

I lost my way without you
I'm sorry that I doubted you
My life is all about you
Please come and guide me home

BREAK

Guide me through these troubled waters
Guide me through these cold, dark nights
Reach out to me, cause I've lost my way
I need you, please guide me to your light

I lost my way without you
I'm sorry that I doubted you
My life is all about you
Please come and guide me home

I was blinded, tempted by another
Led me to a dark and bitter place
Now all I feel is my life falling apart
My resentments, and my regrets
Made me stray and fall from your grace
Come and save me and this empty broken heart

I need you here beside me
To clear the path to find me
I need your help to guide me
Back to where I belong
Guide me back home

BREAK to end

Jay Would call this a work in progress. Has potential and do like parts of the guitar lead melody although the vocals needs to be more enhanced and re vamped by that more clear and defined . Bring those vocals to the front .they are way back and masked so to speak .maybe give some remix be nice to hear some backing with hammond patch and some tasty little shots of organ lead perhaps
