Slinking down a one-way street
You never know who you might meet
It’s just too good to be true

People like to give advice
It’s very good, it’s very nice
You know It’s ‘cause they love you

Chorus:

Herald the coming of our lord!
Laugh as he falls upon his sword
All hail the Patron Saint of Mediocrity!

Built to last & last in line
You’ve never seen him lose his mind
He’s just too lame to be cool

Trusting always – never mind the
Warning signs all down the line
The tragic crest of a fool

Stuck in his orbital decay
Right in the middle’s where he’ll stay
Bow to the Patron Saint of Mediocrity!

Solo

Herald the coming of our lord!
Laugh as he falls upon his sword
All hail the Patron Saint of...(Mediocrity)
Here comes the Patron Saint of...(Saint of Mediocrity)
Make way for the Patron Saint of Mediocrity!

K-RTRO
Erik and I went through our early musical lives together. Band class in Jr. High and Marching band in high school. He's a great guy and just freak on how cool this tune is. Alt-Psych-Power Pop. Lush yet simple. Wonderful melodies, a fantastic slide solo. So many things on this track make me feel all warm and glitzy inside. It'll make you feel that way too.

What does that really mean? Is there such a saint? Did he/she perform the requisite miracles? Did the Vatican approve?
