The Best of Conversation Suicide so far... on Romulus X Records... Brought to you by IAC...

LEGENDARY MUSIC
It's been far too long since I've gazed through the multitude of saguaro cacti silhouetting the hills surrounding Tucson, but now I have good reason to hustle my old cowboy butt back down there one of these sunny days and head deep into the local Underground Music scene to get an up close look and listen to some of Tucson's awesome music talent, particularly that which is residing under the creative roofs of Conversation Suicide and Phelgm. In the meantime, I'm going to be playing "you look familiar" on Legendary Music. Right from the get-go, this sha-na-na-na cool tune, flavored with strains, riffs and traces of good old rock 'n roll guaranteed a refreshing serving of alternative-pop-rock and with lyrics and vocals that even an old cowboy could understand, and yes, relate to as well, although my concept of a cafe would be an old western saloon hiding somewhere in the desert close to one of those gorgeous deep purple and golden orange sunsets that take your breath away as they paint smoky trails across the horizon. Other than that I'm definitely in tune and on the same wavelength as this talented and highly energized eclectic gathering of underground musicians. I find it incredible that the suits at all the big labels continue to turn deaf ears to the seismic and sonic revolution happening in every genre of music that is walking the halls here at IAC coming from great artists like Conversation Suicide and thousands of other equally talented and gifted solo artists and bands around the world. Play hard CS and rock on at the speed of light ... and damn the torpedoes!!

PHIFTY PHLEGM PHAVORITES
Worthy of top Phifty? yeah...I like to think so.

Gosh Phlegm, I must be brutally honest here, I was checking your stuff out, most of it just a little bit beyond my understanding in terms of form, but I respect the shit out of the energy and sense of revolution present here, it's nice to know that the wave of resistance i believe my generation kicked off is still evolving and if that wasn't enough respect for you, I found this jewel. . . I love this one man and had to add it. . how kool to know that a man of your evovled revolution still holds and displays a knack and appreciation for the sounds of the music that fueled our revolution, very versatile and that's important in this business, I liked this one the most . . . . . . . . . respect phlegm!!!!

I am familiar and if you saw me I know you'd recognise me

So these guys have put out a TON of different sounding songs here on IAC, but this one really caught my attention because it reminded me of one of the best things about making music; having fun. This song must be a blast to play! It's uptempo, melodic, sound (without being overly fluffy) creates an ambiance that you just can't help but bob your head to. The simple "sha na"s for the chorus make this song immediately accessible and capable of singing along to, which seems like the artists way of including everyone in the fun they appear to having. Everything from the quick hit drum fills to the guitar solo evoke smiles in anyone that truly loves good music.
