Hit The Ground Running by Supercoil is an electric force coming across my brain as I listen. The rhythm reminds of Led Zep the way it sets and dominates the pace. There were a lot of unexpected elements in the music here. To go along with the juicy backing, the vocals are developed and may end up being the strength of this band. It is a heavy, flowing song, and then ends with a soft, fitting whisper. I listen to a lot of indie music and it's not often I hear an overall sound as original as Supercoil's, they clearly hit the ground running, just like the song says. This band has the ability to make you stop in your tracks and say WTF is this?

Written by SuperCoil 2015, Warren Jones (vocals), Randy James (drums) and Adam Martin (guitar). Bass by Ben Huband. Recorded at Backroom Collective Studios, Toronto Ontario by Anthony D'Avanzo. Produced by SuperCoil. Mixed and mastered by Adam Martin.

This song revolves around your first road trip as a band. Packing up the truck and heading very far out of your comfort zone to do the thing that makes you live. Then, touring and continuing to play experiencing new adventures along the way. And, all for the love of music. That's what it all comes back to.
Hit the Ground Running
Supercoil 2015

It’s getting harder; to steer, we’re turning here,
Screech the tires, crank the gears.
Break through the barriers; Where we’re goin’ no-one cares
We’re on the road to somewhere

It’s time to shine, Leave it all behind, Play it one more time
The ground swelled up like, a pair of hands, leading me off
To uncharted lands
Headfirst and tumble, Like grains of sand
It’s time to take a chance

It’s time to shine, Leave it all behind, Play it one more time
Hit the ground running, open doors inside of me.
Grind the axe, and throw the sticks, Feel the need to feed the fix
Dim the lights and light the wicks
Break through the barriers; Hit the road cuz no-one cares
Still on the road to somewhere

It’s time to shine, Leave it all behind, Play it one more time
Hit the ground running, open doors inside of me.
Hit the ground running, open doors inside of me. x

Awesome Rock tune, back are the days of Journey and Bad Company. Great vocals!
