I played this song id just written to the band and we jammed it! So the video is the first time we did it as a band and they were such good musicians this was the result - this was the latest Urbangulf line-up. My heart was breaking as i sang it, not just because of the subject matter but because of their brilliant musicianship. We did it once more at a gig in Battersea, London shortly after, then the band folded and i never sang it or any other song since!

Written by: Graham Spencer, guitar/vocals: Graham Spencer, bass: Kev Buckland, keyboards: Steve Pollock, percussion John Kane.

I wrote this song for my children and especially for my son who nearly died one night from croup. He was 2 years old and my daughter was 4. i was amazed at their strength and when i was divorced 2 years later it was their strength which got me through, not the other way around as you would expect.
Verse 1 - When i come home late at night and watch you sleeping, your lashes the wings of butterflies. yeah i sit so quiet and wonder what you're dreaming, i pray that im somewhere in those eyes. Chorus: When i cant see what this worlds about and this heart in me, wants to take me out, then i look and see you blinding everyone, with your love light on, with your love light on. In your shiny light ill never lose my road, in your shiny light, ill never be alone, in your shiny light, ill find my way back home, in your shiny light. Verse 2 yeah i spent my life walking down in shadows, until you came to hold my hand, yeah i know it should have been the other way round, but you were so much stronger than i am. Chorus: when i cant see what this worlds about, and this heart in me wants to take me out, then i look and see you shining like a sun with your.... finish. x
