I wrote part of this song as my marriage proposal to Melanie and then a year later I split the song and wrote my wedding vows and added them to the the middle of the original. I sang it at our wedding on the beach in Jamaica as my wedding vows. 6 hours after our wedding I caught her in one heck of a lie and discovered that she had cheated on me right before we got married so I ledt her at the resort in Jamaica skipped my flight home and fell apart and hid in Jamaica for three weeks! Looking back its the best thing that could have happened to me!
