This station is for ALL the great music I've found and can't leave on my main station - AOR (All Over The Road) - and still get a good rating.
In trying to get my first IAC station, AOR (All Over the Road ), higher in the ratings, I have had to remove some material to keep the song count down. Here you will find everything I like about IAC: quirky songs, multiple songs by the same artist, and loads of songs which might not help give me a good chart position but which deserve to be heard nonetheless. So, I guess this is like the university 50W radio station, CHRW, where I was a late night DJ in the early 80's. Being a non-commercial station and with a transmission radius of 5 miles, we were very unregulated in what we could play. The station had been closed for several years and had just reopened when I joined but had been going since the early 60s: so you can imagine the fantastic record library we could choose from! Now, I can do it all over again. But this time, instead of playing a fantastic back catalogue of classics, I get to discover the next generation of classics-yet-to-be.
Put this station's player on any website!

Madelyn - Michael Caruso
Think this one might be a "grower". Still finding it a wee bit hard to reconcile the gravely voice and lyrics with the overtly smooth production. Wonder if the organ should be a bit more of a throaty B3 sound, maybe some power chords, raspier harmonica playing, dunno!! ... something leaves me wanting a slightly dirtier sound to the instrumentation. I've never heard Rabbit's version of this song before ... I really like it. Only thing I'd add would be a little "B3" to power it along a bit during the breaks. Ooops, think I just heard some (but way down in the mix) added to station 1/28/2011 2:49:51 PM

Keep on playing, Ray! Fantastic version (warts and all) of a great song. Thanks for sharing and keeping in touch thru IAC. And thanks for giving us more acoustic playing - I simply can't get enough of hearing your unique style of playing an acoustic (even more so than your driving electric style). added to station 4/9/2008 10:54:01 AM

Eoin O Meachair
Si Beag Si Mor
One of harper Turloch O Carolan's (West Meath c 1670) best known compositions. The name (pronounced - and sometimes spelled as - "sheebeg, sheemore") means "Little Fairy, Big Fairy" and refers to a local legend from Co. Leitrim concerning a war between two fairy armies. Other sources, however, claim that the title is taken from the names of two hills near the estate of Squire George Reynolds, one of O'Carolan's first patrons. http://www.qmcorp.net/bbworks/sibeag/ added to station 1/29/2008 6:05:28 PM
