I remember Bryan working on the intro/outro guitar part, back when we were just out of high school (a couple of eons ago). Sometimes those bits of music are just waiting for the proper conclusion. I like the way this one turned out. Peaceful music, framing the sentiment of enjoying life. Good work, B.

The Grip Weeds
Every Minute
You know, it's amazing to me how many truly great bands are on IAC. This song is a solid, hook-laden, and tightly executed, incredible (I almost hate to use the word) pop song. But this is power pop, or (as was coined for The Jam) muscle-pop. Excellent vocals and playing, arrangement and production. Why these guys aren't signed is beyond me.

Moments (sung by Sandip Sagar) IAC remastered
B. Booth is another of the great unsung songwriting talents out there (and in here). This piece has a happily melancholy edge to it, and the vocal work by Sandip Sagar adds a haunting quality that just enhances this English Folk-style song and makes it (as someone once said) "Beautifully simple, and simply beautiful".

With almost a '20's ragtime feel, the 'Poets bring a lot of life to a gin-joint style of blues/jazz tune. It's as if Tom Waits had a really good baritone voice (no offense to Mr. Waits). A feel-good, drinking song.

Like a walk through a Japanese garden at midnight, this piece has a foglike quality. The vocals (and the vocal treatment) really establishes the dreamlike state and the instrumentation expands that feeling into an almost psychedelic atmosphere.

Quirky, uptempo madness here. But in a really good way. Shades of film music, show tunes, the Munsters, and other various tidbits, matched with a breakneck arrangement that ducks from different tempos and time signatures to leave you breathless at the end. This may not be for everyone's taste, but if this is the sort of thing you like, you'll like this sort of thing... I like.

This is a very hip, trippy piece of music. It's hard to call it ambient when it has such a nice rhythm under all the atmosphere. A really good pulse with a lot of VoG and delay and fullness.

Strong example of lush, new age orchestral music. Full of atmosphere and warmth. Also, a great blending of various instruments from accoustic gtr, harp, flute, and strings, etc. Puts me in the mood to sit back and dream.

Another sonic voyage with the Ultrajazz crew. These guys have some of the most relaxed, free-flowing world/jazz improv music I've yet heard. If you like jazz, world music, improv, ambient, or any and all combinations - give this group a listen, I personally guarantee you won't be disappointed.

The Small Party
Days of Fate
Really hip, psychedelia-tinged song with a healthy driving beat. Throw in generous helpings of slightly angular melody and harmonies (sometimes quality harmonies seem to be a lost art in modern music). Cap it all with a tidy, stinging guitar solo, and there is an excellent tune here.

It's good to hear some old-school psychedelic jams. Fuzztone, heavy reverb, and Eastern-style vox are NOT dead. Really hip material that carries you along in the tripped-out wash.
