Larry Page, of Penny Farthing Records, released the single (PEN 738) by the London group Heatwave (the first band by that name) in November 1970. The songs, 'Sister Simon (Funny Man)' A-side b/w 'Rastus Ravel (Is A Mean Old Man)', were written and produced by John Edward for Instant Sound Productions. A-side back-up vocals were sung by Maggie Stredder, Gloria George and Marian Davis (The Ladybirds). The B-Side featured Rick Wakeman on piano and Doris Troy sang back-up vocals. Heatwave has a brick in The Cavern Club Wall of Fame, Liverpool. Martin and Terry were reunited in the U.S.A. and, in 2014, they co-wrote their first song 'Sailin' Away'. http://www.heatwave.n.nu
