Jamie has woven a tapestry unlike any I have listened to or ever heard, lets say it is truly a one of kind and unique work. lots happening here. Very Epic vibe. I would say even to some degree a comparative feel to an ultra modern yet easy listening style of music that really pushes it outside of your typical ballad, but reminds me of a lighter smoother version of carry on wayward son by Kansas, nothing like that song of course, because it possesses very classical components with hybrid qualities of pop and opera combined. hard to pin it down, but a beautiful song and pulls you into the whole storyline with the soaring vocals, compelling lyrics and amazing musicianship, Jamie has weaved together a lovely elegant song for the ages. I think of Andrew Lloyd Webber and this being in a Broadway Play, so good, it is just a huge soundscape and layers on layers of sweet vocals.

Stoneman is not only a prolific songcrafter and composer of great tunes he is a person who has a terrific depth of understanding and wisdom and insight on life. He has provided many examples of this on the pipeline, his ability to convey his take on life is at times mind boggling, i think he is one the most amazing people here at IMP.as for a Deeper meaning , I am surprised this song has never been featured or picked up by other station managers , it is a beautiful elegant piece with a powerful message, not only that it is so well produced and has rich soundscaping, Stoneman in my opinion is certainly on of the best at this craft of songcrafting, a multi-versatile musician able to play so many different instruments. Chris Weekes was a member of the bluevoodoo some years back as the percussionist and whom I had the privilege to work with and play many gigs with over the years. Very talented songcrafter and incredible human being, his songs he wrote for the group theblueoodoo were always deep, This is his take on what inspired him to write the song, very compelling and riveting, especially when violence continues to occur and injustice is so pervasive :I read an article in the newspaper about what these men did to a man named James Byrd in Jasper ,Texas, not far from Martin Luther King Blvd. How they picked him up from a party he had just left and how they pulled on to a road lined with yellow pine trees, shackled him to a chain at the back of their truck and dragged him two miles. According to the article one of James's friends said that it was as if death was on him the night he left the party. His friends were concerned that he had had a bit too much to drink but, as James was leaving he told them that he was O.K from here on in. Apparently, James knew the men who picked him up. As well, he was still alive when they began to drag him........
