30.12.07...It was the breathtakingly creative firework display that is her other track here 'Dragonfly', that caught my attention and love initially here a couple of years ago. However its this stormy, transcendent gem that i totally love at the moment..I was writing up a review while listening for my Spaceboy station the other day-and making a jokey comment about playing it while travelling from the Earth to the moon or something-and then suddenly i actually felt i WAS in outer-space..You know a tracks powerful when it does that.....How it resolves n melts all that tension at the end of each chorus is so magical.......From 'STEVE ISONS IAC DIARY'... added to station 1/5/2008 5:24:52 PM

Watching The Birds Fly
Go back four decades or so and take a cheap day return to London from the Midlands (Take your guitar, you'll need it later). A fiver should get you a good day out, see the sights, feed the pigeons, take some snaps with your Polaroid. Then get the tube to Muswell Hill and meet up at Ray and Dave Davies' little terrace, their mum'll do some cheese sarnies and fairy cakes. Play a few chords and when you're all in sinc somebody can throw a few lyrics in, someone can whistle and if you can't do that for laughing then just moan a few "ahhs" Six hours later you've got it on your four track for posterity. Kip down on an iron sofa bed in the living room (you've missed the train) and hope you can remember where the loo is before morning. come around
A commanding intro leads into an all encompassing sound that rings around your head in a most ambient and satisfying way. The fact that there is a Pop/Rock beat gives it a very unique feel because the lovely vocalist has the voice which veers between choirgirl and folk Godess. Runs of lyrically articulate phrases snap together purposefully to create a landscape of musical colours. **Spenny: 'Well I like the song Stevo. And I kinda like the recording. Rough as arseholes mind. And probably if I'm truthful will not stand up against some of your other stuff. There's a lot to work on here I'm afraid. Recording wise. I love how your voice is coming across though. Kinda like Ian Hunter in places. Normally I'd love that acoustic guitar sound, but here it kinda distracts from the song and your vocals. I suppose you'll be re-recording? I hope so cos this deserves the full treatment. Mott the Hoople style. As is, it feels a little empty. Not that its not without its charm. ***Quote:’Mega exhuberant sunshine lofi’**** It certainly gets that vibe. But at the moment doesn't have the same lasting feeling as 'Lou Reed' or 'Golden Pie' Still its big on that 70's Radio I like to remember. I hope you redo it BIG. Long, Long Ago in the age when supermarkets were not occupied by DAMN cds and the internet was but a nerds wet dream. There used to be a place called the Record Shop, it had no corporate ties. NICE! The truth is I HATE HATE HATE new punk. I call it bubble punk. Truth is I don't make any distinction between new punk and Britney Spears. I actually like Spears better because at least there's no pretense there. Any how I like this song Cliche. Obvious Iggy vibe in the vox. NEVER a bad thing. The song itself is also quite good. Great, real energy. Love the synth work. Just great! Great attitude. I'm happy to finally get a punk song here on K-RTRO..........From 'K-PNK' added to station 1/23/2006 11:30:25 AM

Tally Hall
Banana Man
Maybe the most perfect song by Tally Hall (also regarding sound and arrangement). Not only damn funny, it also is a very catchy tune with wonderful harmony-changes and nonchalant melodies combined with extreme-changes to 60ies like songs - a perfect song to get in a perfectly happy mood!..........From 'CHERRY GUM' added to station 1/23/2006 10:55:42 AM

Wicked Ride
A legend of the IASea....Many expert hunters of the Greatest Unexplained Beasts have sought this underwater beauty for years. No scientific proof exists...only one photo of a single head gracefully poking up out of the murky melodic waters of Gardotland......From 'CRYPTOZOOLOGY' added to station 1/23/2006 10:51:54 AM
