Back when I worked it stood for Stand Up Meeting. Email said stum 9:45 cubicle area foyer, mandatory. So you hid under your desk because nobody wanted to deal with that.

Probably way off there, but that is the only use of stum I ever experienced.
Another good ploy was to pretend to forget the name of the six sigma guy. Call him Fred or Ned, maybe Skip. He would get annoyed and you would get less “leverage synergy” type assignments. Then you could go ahead and do your work without all the “swim lanes” and “de-silo” stuff because nobody had time for that except what’s his name the six sigma guy.
