Footsweep was an indie rock band from The Hague, The Netherlands.
In 1999 guitarists Jean Midde and Bas van der Ham formed Footsweep, drummer Gilbert Twilt joined in 2002 and bass guitarist Bart van Geyt in 2004.
In 2006 Footsweep decided to continue as a trio due to a serious bicycle accident of 2nd guitarist Bas. Also they started focusing more on an international audience.
In 2006, they travelled to London for shows to an enthusiastic, welcoming English crowd.
In January 2007 they recorded the Disco E.P. with Mark van Dijk consisting of 3 crowd favourite songs: 5 more minutes, stoner and disco.
In 2008 Mark van Dijk joined the band on drums and Ralph van den Hoogenband joined on guitar. The bandname was changed to We Invent You.
We Invent You recorded one EP "WIY" and did only 2 shows.
The EP has 5 songs uploaded here as Footsweep tracks with WIY tags.
In January 2009 our good friend and drummer Mark van Dijk died and the band ended their long travel. Jean and Ralph are still planning to make music together, albeit more acoustic work.
We love you Mark.. never to be forgotten..

All of those changes helped create a perfect album Run 3 that has nothing to complain about.
