Dealer in Wares is an award winning original blues/rock band which was co-founded by vocalist and harpist, Sarah Yzkanin, in February of 2007. Originally performing as part of a duo, Yzkanin was determined to expand the group and began a search for a reliable and talented drummer. She found the perfect fit in an old friend, Chris Price, who joined forces with her in November of 2007. When the original guitarist abruptly abandoned his role in August of 2008, the band began a new quest for a reliable and equally talented replacement. With the first of a steady line up of weekly shows only ten days away, Yzkanin and Price worked tirelessly training temporary guitarists to help them fulfill their obligations until they could find a permanent replacement. It is this determination and dedication that sets the young band apart from its peers. Their efforts paid off the following month when they found the talent and dedication they were looking for in Royce Vaughn who stepped into the role of lead guitarist in September of 2008. With their new solid line up in place, the band is currently interviewing producers and exploring studios where they will complete their upcoming album of original material, “Electric Thrill.”

Music critics agree Dealer in Wares combines haunting melodies and soulful vocals to produce a sound reminiscent of their classic rock influences without replicating them. They have managed to win the hearts of blues/rock fans throughout the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre/Mount Pocono area in the short time they have been together.
