Focused on capturing the raw intensity of their live show, Dreams of Treason have made a serious departure from their bluesy art punk origins with the release of Slaves Desire (produced by Larry Anschell). Turning their amps up to eleven with the sole intention of rocking you, the band has answered the call of many long time fans, whove responded to the change in sound by dubbing Dreams of Treason the standard bearer of Vancouvers modern classic rock movement. From the up-tempo fire of Take Me There to the soul wrenching darkness of Everything Ordinary, Slaves Desire provides listeners with a melodic journey through the history of hard rock, simultaneously calling on the majesty of 70s arena rock and modern rock understatement. As founding members of the Vancouver Band Alliance, Dreams of Treason have become regulars on local television show: A New Rock Reality, which chronicles the lives of several Vancouver based artists. Always ready to throw his two cents into the pot, vocalist Chris Wright quips: Expect nothing less than excess. Indeed.
