FOOTLONG was formed in 1996 by the songwriting duo of Jim Hant and Justin Farar, while both were attending the University of California at San Diego. The band's eclectic, college-rock sound with influences ranging from Dave Matthews to the Police and thought-provoking lyrics were an instant hit with college fans. FOOTLONG built up a sizeable local following playing clubs such as the Casbah and events like the UCSD Sun God Festival.
After graduation, the band moved to Los Angeles and recorded their first self-titled CD, which was well received among fans of the L.A. Music scene. Tracks such as ""Cityscape"" and ""If I Would"" were played on KSCR-FM 104.7 and other local radio stations in Santa Barbara and San Diego. During that time, FOOTLONG toured extensively in the LA area including shows at the Whisky, the Gig, the Coconut Teaser, as well as a showcase for Capitol Records at the Roxy.
For FOOTLONG's second album, Smorgasbord, the band decided to pursue a more funk-rock sound, adding a 3-piece horn section and soul singer Solomon Burke Jr (son of Rock n' roll Hall of Famer, Solomon Burke Sr). The new album was again well accepted by local radio, leading to 2 appearances on KLOS 95.5 FM ""Local Licks"" show. FOOTLONG's live show also grew in popularity, drawing average crowds of 100+ for each show, and culminating in an April 2000 show at the House of Blues, in which they opened for the legendary ""Meters"".
Since the end of 2000, Jim and Justin have continued writing and recording music for FOOTLONG on their record label, Dabble Records. Their latest release, Breakaway, can be best described as singer/songwriter driven alternative rock in the vein of Coldplay and Ben Folds.

Even though Footlong is not a popular artist in the contemporary world of indie music, I still find them pleasant to listen. In my opinion, this is a common mistake thinking that in order to be a good artist, one must be well known. Every time I'm about to make complex math calculations, I'm turning on the music, whereas Footlong is always in my playlist. If that doesn't help, I then go to https://myassignmentlab.com/do-my-math-homework.html to pay for math homework online. Hopefully that's an extremely rare practice due appropriate songs in the list.
