LowBuz return in 2005 with their new EP, “Breaking Point.” The CD features four songs which show the band moving in a heavier and more focused musical direction, while still retaining the power and melody of their previous recordings. Since the release of the LowBuz self-titled EP in 2003, the band has enjoyed success in the north New Jersey club scene, on college radio, and especially on internet music websites. Lead singer Jeff Dixon’s knack for catchy choruses and infectious melodies has made him one of the top rock vocalists in the state. Having had no previous vocal training, Jeff continues to blow audiences away when the band performs live. Guitarist and recording engineer Mike Koenig provides the ultra-chunky riffs, while pushing all the right buttons at Crystal Studio, home base for LowBuz and now a hot spot for up and coming local bands. Dave Neabore, bassist for such notable bands as Dog Eat Dog, Mucky Pup, and All Boro Kings keeps the bottom end anchored as well as providing musical production and art direction. The newest member of the band is lead guitarist Rob Tarulli, who was brought in to thicken up the sound and make sure the music is faithfully represented in the clubs. Drummer L.J. Gravine kicks his tight but complex beats and always provides a challenge with his off-time signatures. Now with the release of Breaking Point, LowBuz are finally ready to take it to another level. With exciting new songs like “On The Ledge”, “Point”, and “Swallow”, the band is looking to expand its fan base nationwide while continuing to write songs for an upcoming full length CD.
LowBuz is currently seeking proper management and label representation.
