well-rounded musicians. Its members (Eva Gardner, Bass/Vocals-- ex-Mars Volta, Tim Burgess [Charlatans UK], Veruca Salt, etc. Alfredo Ortiz, Drums--Beastie Boys, Money Mark, ex-Ozomatli, etc. and Mike McGill, Guitar/Vocals--Snake vs Wizard, ex- Inkwell Chemists, Exfork, etc.) all come from extremely eclectic backgrounds. Their experience and influence ranges from rock to Latin to experimental.
Based in Los Angeles, California, Lyra's members have been playing in various bands since their early teens. Now in their 20s, they take the experience, knowledge and creative inspiration they have gained along the way and are joined together in Lyra to explore this passion on their own terms—to have fun and make music they believe in.
