DEBUT ALBUM ("No More Mondays")

"No More Mondays" is the outstanding debut album of Australian singer-songwriter and ex-lawyer, Melissa Forbes. Self-produced, recorded in just three days, and released on Melissa's own independent record label, Kitten Kong Records, "No More Mondays" is an album which ambitiously and successfully fuses a range of genres including jazz, soul, r&b, pop, blues & folk. It includes original songs, standards & jazzified takes on popular tunes (e.g. D'Angelo, Michael Jackson, Metallica). On "No More Mondays" Melissa seamlessly integrates her conservatorium jazz training with adult contemporary grooves, producing an album of diverse and refreshingly different tracks. Eight of Melissa's own songs are featured on the album and each reflects a different aspect of Melissa's broad range of musical influences and tastes. Miles Cope	1/28/2014 7:08:07 PM I now see why people don't comment on your page, it's a one way ticket but just on the outside chance that you see my smoke signals. We have both been #1 on jazz&blues several times, however things here at IAC have mutated. I find less blues and far less serious jazz submissions than in the last several years & watch people climb the charts and pass more gifted artists because they keep hitting there tune or enlist friends to do the same. You are a cut above all the other contenders here at IAC so they should just establish a hall of fame and stick you in it. What I see is less people in our two genres in the ranks and folks that just like more popular flavors. Now I don't want a mock "Star Search" or "The Voice" but posting original tunes hear I believe falls on deaf ears. Just know, there are some truly great singers and players I have enjoyed in the past and you win hands down.
