National Bank of Morocco was formed in the wake of the new millenia out of the rubble of postmodern sounds inspired by the latter half of the twentieth century with an eye towards the developing world and the challenges posed by rapid growth and the increased influence of technology, global markets and the power of the individual. National Bank of Morocco (NBM for short) derives the majority of its revenues from its song operations, which has demonstrated a profit margin in the high teens in recent years. Tune development and research continue to drag on the income statement while sales growth of 25% is expected in the year ending 2005.
RE Houston is the principal songwriter and acting President. With little experience in banking and no formal music training, Houston continues to look for new directions to point condenser mics. Most bass sounds are provided by the enigmatic Millenium, a charlatan and a madman. Stephen Gripentrog (late of Stephen Gripentrog Garageband) plays some sweet, if rare, guitar solos. But, the heart and soul of the National Bank of Morocco is Mike Appleman, the alternately kindhearted and mean as a lesbian drummer. His demanding predilection for things in tune and stuff that sounds ok drives the mix and mastering in a neverending wrestling match between Houston's Velvet Underground approach and the silk curtain sound of Appleman's youth.
What will come next? Who can know. The bank and its subsidiary organizations will continue to expand while producing more sonic marvels than you can shake a stick at. Just try. You will surely fail.
