Pictures of Winter is a 5-piece metalcore band from western Massachusetts. POW is another incarnation of the band Chasing Eternity, which called it quits in March of 2006. With the rise of this new incarnation come a new sound and a new goal: To combine the mesmerizing melody popularized by bands like Across Five Aprils and Poison the Well with the unforgiving ferocity that has characterized metalcore heavyweights like The Acacia Strain and On Broken Wings. While this is the objective of many bands in the metal/hardcore scene today, POW hopes to do so in their own way so as to forge a one-of-a-kind sound that is uniquely theirs. Equipped with aspirations to create a new sound, and lyrics that are inspired by themes that transcend boundaries of time and place, POW is on a mission to make a lasting impact in today's music scene.
