Biografia de Platurno

Platurno es una banda chilena de rock progresivo integrada por Felipe Rivera en guitarras, Sebastian Aguayo en teclados y guitarra clasica y Andres Aguayo en bateria y percusion. Este proyecto nace en Villa Alemana (región de Valparaíso) con un solo deseo: querer hacer musica. La banda se auto define bajo el estilo de rock progresivo pero no se limita al momento de componer, por lo que la busqueda de un estilo propio e innovador ha sido una caracteristica importante en el viaje musical de Platurno. Cuentan con una placa llamada NUCLEOS, la que fue grabada durante el verano del 2006 y editado bajo el sello Mylodon records (www.mylodonrecords.com) y distribuido por Mylodon y Musea records en Europa (www.musearecords.com). El álbum cuenta con 11 temas, todos compuestos por los miembros de la banda. Edison Atencio (Bajo electrico) y Priscila Valenzuela (violin) participan como musicos invitados.
Platurno a tocado en importantes presentaciones como con Cast en Viña del Mar, Chile, en el Valpo Fest Rock, donde participaron artistas de la talla de Claudio Cordero, Linda Chusma, y en el prestigioso festival internacional de rock progresivo BajaProg version 2008, en Mexico. Actualmente Platurno se dispones a grabar una segunda placa, sin nombre aun, pero mucho mas innovadora y experimental que la anterior.

Biography of Platurno

Platurno is a band of progressive rock from Chile, integrated by Felipe Rivera in guitars, Sebastián Aguayo in keyboards and classic guitar, and Andrés Aguayo in drums and percussion, three friends from the childhood. This project born in Villa Alemana (region of Valparaiso) with one desire: want to make music.
The band was originally formed by Felipe Rivera and the drummer Gerardo Sánchez around the year 2001, but in spite of being a quite young band, many are the musicians who have been in this project (remembering here to our great friend and ex- bass and lead vocals of Platurno, Marcel O'Shee), and has crossed a difficult way until find their final formation. The band, defined itself under the style of progressive rock, is not limited at the time of composing, always trying to innovate and look for a fresh and own sound, which has been an important characteristic in the musical trip of Platurno.
At the moment it’s promoting their first album, called “Nucleos” published by Mylodon records (www.mylodonrecords.com), and distributed by Mylodon and by Musea records in Europe (www.musearecords.com).
The album has 11 songs, all composed by the members of the band. Edison Atencio (bass) and Priscila Valenzuela (violin) participate in the album like invited musicians.
Platurno has played in important presentations as with Cast in Viña del Mar, Chile, in the Valpo Fest Rock, where there took part artists of the height of Claudio Cordero and Linda Chusma, and in the prestigious international festival of progressive rock BajaProg version 2008, in Mexico. Nowadays Platurno want to recording their second album, without name even, but very much innovative and experimental than the previous one.
