Seamus (pronounced shay*muss) is a five piece alternative pop/rock band from Salt Lake City, Utah. Taking cues from bands as diverse as Pearl Jam, Collective Soul, Grant Lee Buffalo, U2, and Weezer, Seamus uses a hook laden two guitar attack to create a unique signature sound all its own.

Seamus’ music is punchy, energetic rock that is driven by a soulful groove. The band skillfully intertwines catchy hooks and hard hitting riffs to create heavy, yet danceable rock music. The lyrical content of Seamus’ work explores a wide range of topics, from stories about a friend who was accidentally lit on fire to more universal themes of loss, hope, and redemption. Each member of the band is a seasoned musician that brings years of writing and performing experience to complete the package.

Although the current incarnation of its lineup began playing in February 2006, Seamus is quickly developing a reputation in the Salt Lake City music scene for its spirited live shows, aggressive dual guitar work and heavy grooves. Seamus consistently delivers memorable and energetic live performances to enthusiastic audiences across the state.
