SVS was formed in 2014 by guitarist/songwriter Sean Virag. He has performed for numerous artists in New York and recorded on various albums. SVS released their debut album "Higher Calling" in October 2016 to widespread critical acclaim. "Higher Calling " features vindictive rock songs Reap What You Sow and Don't Need a Reason to Cry as well as inspirational songs Sign From Above and Higher Calling. The songs reflect the trials and tribulations of everyday life, discontent, social conspiracy and political malaise. Add to this backdrop screaming rock guitars, Sean Virag's deeply personal lyrics along with catchy vocal melodies and you get the raw musical connection of SVS. With the help of veteran Long Island musicians Erik Friedman (bass/vocals/harmonica), Drew Bertrand (drums), Mike Katzman (organ/piano), Katie Pearlman (drums/vocals), Rorie Kelly (vocals) Jeff Pearlman (organ), Don Torillo (alto/tenor saxophone), SVS has recorded a considerable collection of haunting, yet uplifting, music that is instantly recognizable.
When SVS is not performing, Sean Virag's guitar work is well in demand for recording or live performance including bands and singer/songwriters.
