See Emily Pray is a Portland Oregon based Gothic- Alternative female-fronted band.

Christian Perales on lead guitar, Don Schreiber on rythym guitar, Mary-Suzanne Lamkins on bass, M'liss on drums and Tina Woods on vocals and lyrics.

Christian, Don, Mary-Suzanne and M'liss are all seasoned muscians who have been in the NorthWest music scene for a while. Among noteworthy accomplishments, Christian and M'liss are formerly of ""Stabitha"" with Chelle who joined ""Pillars of Nein"" and Adara who founded ""Opticollide"".

Don and Mary-Suzanne were also formerly with ""Almost Milwaukie"", another well-known Portland band. Don has worked with ""Hawkwind"", ""Sleep"" ""Hazel"" and ""Crackerbash"", recordings with Cravedog Records. Both Don and Mary-Suzanne have also worked with ""Gina Noel"" and Satyricon.

M'liss is a seasoned professional as well, having opened for the ""Gin Blossoms"", appearance on radio KBOO, worked with ""The Go Go's"" Gina and Gayelynn McKinney and countless other performances.

Tina worked as a freelance solo artist before moving to Oregon where she auditioned for and took the role of vocalist and lyricist for ""See Emily Pray"" in July of 2006 after their former lead singer returned to her country of origin, Russia. Originally Tina was born and raised in Polynesia, but came to Oregon to reside in 2003.

""See Emily Pray"" has hit the ground running. Right off the bat venues lined their scheduled quickly, having played gigs like ""Dantes"", (venue of Portlands local star ""Storm Large"" of 'Supernova'), ""Rock and Roll Pizza"" and ""The Hawthorne Theatre"". They have also managed to create a buzz online through Myspace, Pure Volume, mp3.com, mp3.com.au, Idolunderground, PittRadio.net, GarageBand, Bebo, Acid Planet and YouTube.

The band has already started to work with established artists such as Oregon Goth-Rock legend ""Written In Ashes"" and popular Black Sabbath cover band ""Crazy Train"".

""See Emily Pray"" has a style very similar to ""Jack of Jill"" and ""Scarling"". The band currently has five songs recorded and an additional 3 that are not.

In October of 2006 the band recorded and mastered their first EP ""Kitchen Knives and Safety Pins"" through Dave Boyle at Studio 212, Damascus Oregon.
The EP is a dark and twisted fairytale covering a large range of diveristy in this Goth-Alternative Female-fronted rock. Influences include- Jack Off Jill, Scarling, Pink Floyd, the Cure, Bauhaus, Switchblade Symphony, My Ruin, Sonic Youth, Alice Cooper, Black Sabbath...
