Musician Richard A. Jurado has taken the next quantum leap in his musical career with his one-man band “Shadowz of Cazanova‘s. His new musical release “Nihil Obstat” contains remixed music from his previous CD’s, “A Mist the Shadowz”, “Who AM Eye?”, “The Journal of Sebastian Neopli” and new music from his alternate ego band Geezer Man --”The Night of the Geez.”

Nibil Obstat contains rock songs like: ‘Passion and Knife’, acoustical (a la Jethro Tull) melodies in “Courtesan Dancer”, progressive rock songs suites in “AnxiCity Suite” and “Crashendo to Life” sentimental ballets with “Who Am I?” and a Christmas song with lyrics that will really make you wonder about peace on Earth in “Another Christmas.”

Recorded and produced at Yoni Production Studios, California-- Richard’s personal recording studio -- which is now located in St. Louis MO -- he spends a fair amount of time developing conceptual stories to fit the music and lyric he’s developed. He is currently working on a conceptual CD “ The Journals of Sebastian Neopli’ which he hope to release at the end of 2006.

With strong musical influences of the 70’s and 80’s, such as Yes, Styx, Jethro Tull, ELP, King Crimson, Pink Floyd, Gentle Giant, The Beatles, Montrose, Sammy Hagar, Eagles, Steely Dan, Toto, 38 Special; and ballets and love songs along the lines of Greg Lake, Cat Stevens, James Taylor and Chicago; you will experience the diversity of SOC’s music.

Richard’s believes that today’s music needs an anchor to hold the listener’s attention to music. Providing the listener a story, along with good music and interwoven lyrics allowing you to kick back and relax, put on some headphones, and listen while you follow the story .

History

Very versatile individual with 37 years musical experience. Richard plays all the instruments on each CD, as well as produces and records each CD. He has his own recording studio in St. Louis MO after moving from California in 2006.

Richard’s mixture of musical influences are profound in is music and lyrics. Richard has played in just about every type of band and genre -- rock, progressive, country-western, Christian, musical plays, and contemporary bands.

With this broad mixture of musical styles Richard is always writing songs depending on his mood and the project he is working on . He is currently working on 3 concept CD’s -- “The Journals of Sebastian Neopli“, The Geezman Band’s “Night of the Geez”, and “The Stones of Iony Evol”

Richard has plenty to offer with is creative abilities and providing music for the divertive genre.
