Sinister Trailerpark Magic's self titled debut album is a completely original beast that defies categorization. Their heavy "Rack and Ruin" style music will knock your socks off and shove them into your mouth until you're screaming through the cotton with joy. Sinister Trailerpark Magic delivers insanely heavy hardcore combined with exceptionally fast punk and doses of rock brilliance. At first listen, the musical style is intangible and difficult to categorize by genre or influence. This music can only be known as Sinister Trailerpark Magic.
Sinister Trailerpark Magic was formed in October 2005, by four seasoned musicians (each with at least 400 shows and five albums experience) who were fed up with modern corporate rock and decided to collectively create a solution. Their new band would encompass everything music hadn't been doing. They said goodbye to their respective bands and touring gigs and then began to write and rehearse furiously. They gradually scaled down a massive repertoire of songs to 12 tracks, which they recorded in April-June 2006. The album took on a life of its own in the studio, and turned out to be what reviewers now dub "a sonic masterpiece" of unparalleled variety and intensity drawing from countless influences. It can never be justified by words, it has to be heard.
Sinister Trailerpark Magic’s debut album was recorded on reel to reel analog by engineer Robert Szabo (Bedouin Soundclash; Black Maria; Controller, Controller) and mastered by Canada’s legendary George Graves at The Lacquer Channel (U2, Rush, Jim Guthrie).
The album is now set for release on Spinerazor Records, the same label that brought you Kill Cheerleader and CJ Sleez, with distribution in USA/Canada by Navarre. The album will light a fire within the genre with complex rhythm changes, dynamics, speed and melody. Live, the band is unparalleled; using an intense explosion of life, talent and rage to entertain the crowd providing a totally raw experience wrought with energy and humor. Don’t believe us? See for yourself. Therein lies the magic
